"If you want me to treat you like an adult, start acting like one!" comparing the criteria that emerging adults and their parents have for adulthood

Article Abstract:

The criteria necessary and important for an adolescent' s transition to adulthood, from the point of view of both parents and emerging adults are examined. The results show that emerging adults placed greater importance on criteria related to specific role transitions and biological transitions while parents placed greater emphasis on society norms and family capabilities.

On the association of interparental conflict with developing behavioral inhibition and behavior problems in early childhood

The studies show the association of interparental conflict with developing behavior inhibition and problems in early childhood. The association is significant among infants with high negative emotionality.

Personal values as a mediator between parent and peer expectations and adolescent behaviors

The article analyzes the mediating role of personal values on the relation between maternal-peer expectations for prosocial behaviors and adolescents behaviors. Expectations influence antisocial behaviors.
