Article Abstract:

Wilcom has introduced its Asher communications package for the IBM PC. The $795 package includes a telephone handset, a perhipheral card with built in modem and a software package with windowing capabilities. Asher allows users to make phone calls by inputting numbers on the keyboard and the software can store up to 250 names and numbers.

Networks offer free time to candidates

Article Abstract:

Fox TV, NBC, ABC, and CBS have all offered presidential candidates free air time in fall 1996. The candidates would be given time in prime time, or on the morning or evening news, and be allowed to talk about the issues without interruption. The airtime was requested by the Free TV for Straight Talk Coalition.

Inflation and the Estimated Sizes of Notes

Article Abstract:

Public perception of the size of British notes is examined for the influence of inflation. The value of notes as compared to coins is measured from the viewpoint of adults and children. Value of all notes was underestimated. Inflation is found to have created memory distortion.
