Intergenerational relationship in young adulthood and their life course, mental health, and personality correlates

Article Abstract:

The research determining whether life-course experience and events characterizing the transition of adulthood contributed to the prediction of intergenerational relationship over and above earlier family relationship experience, and whether family relationship quality during early adolescence conditioned any detected effects on life-course experiences is presented.

Current and recollected perception of family relationships: the social relations model approach applied to members of three generations

Article Abstract:

A study considering four focal interpersonal dimensions put forward by Boszormenyi-Nagy (Justice and Trust) and Stierlin (Restrictiveness and Affection) is presented. This study is conducted to assess the connection between perceptions of the family-of-origin and current-family relationships.

Level validity of self-report whole-family measures

Article Abstract:

The level validity of the family assessment instruments for measuring warmth in family relationships is analyzed. The results suggest the need to access individual family members rating of whole family warmth rather than considering the family as a single unit.
