The intergenerational transmission of relationship violence

Article Abstract:

Studies show a predictive correlation between family-of-origin violence and all forms of relationship violence, but no evidence was found for role-specific or gender-specific behavior transmission patterns in either perpetration or victimization.

Changes in children's appraisals of marital discord from childhood through adolescence

The article examines the changes in children's appraisals and exposure to marital conflict by collecting data. Appraisals and children's interpretations changes over time in response to parental conflict.

Partner aggression and children's externalizing problems: maternal and partner warmth as protective factors

Article Abstract:

The article examines whether maternal and partner warmth moderates the relation between men's intimate partner aggression and children's externalizing problems. The results gave a positive association.
