Judgments of remembering: the revelation effect in children and adults

Article Abstract:

A comparison was made between 4-year-old and 8-year-old children and adults to determine how revelation effect functions operate at different ages. A revelation effect was observed for all subjects, suggesting that the fluency-of-processing discrepancy attribution and detection mechanisms theorized to produce the revelation effect operate similarly regardless of age.
