MMP1-2 norms: Comparisons with a census-matched subsample

Article Abstract:

There is concern that the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMP1-2) restandardization sample does not represent the US population accurately, particularly with regard to education. A validity, clinical, content and supplementary scale comparison was made between the restandardization sample and a census-matched sample. Results indicated a meaningful difference of just a single scale, suggesting that deviations from the MMPI-2 restandardization sample would be no more meaningful than those of the MMPI-2 scales themselves.

A not-so-happy hour

Article Abstract:

The beverage industry is facing further confusion in the international market as the US and Canada still have to iron out differences before the implementation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Despite posting an increase in beer exports valued at $170 million by 1991, an ongoing trade war between the US and Ontario, Canada may result in a decline in beer imports to Canada. Trade relations between the US and Canada may worsen should trade settlement negotiations between the two groups fail to materialize.
