Measuring informant discrepancies in clinical child research

Article Abstract:

The most frequently used measures of measuring informant discrepancies in the clinical child literature that includes raw, standardized and residual differences is illustrated and an outline of key considerations to influence their selections is given. The most frequently used methods of measuring informant discrepancies are not interchangeable and the future investigations examining informant discrepancies in clinical child research use standardized differences.

Comparison of Hispanic children with and without limited English proficiency on the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test

Article Abstract:

The Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT) and the Stanford Achievement Test - 9th edition (SAT-9) was administered to Hispanic children and the results were compared. Findings indicate that the NNAT may be effective in assessing Hispanic children with and without limited English proficiency.

The ability of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory- third edition to detect malingering

Article Abstract:

The ability of the instrument, the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-Third Edition (MCMI-III) in discriminating students malingering psychopathology from bona fide psychiatric inpatients is studied. Minimal clinical utility of MCMI-III modifier indices was found in the above experiment.
