Medical rehabilitation and quality of life in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy

Article Abstract:

The medico-psychological features in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), their influence on patients' quality-of-life and the dynamics of indices obtained in the course of medical rehabilitation is studied. Patients with TLE often experience personality changes, besides seizures, sometimes only in the form of personality disorders.

Implementing health-care innovations

Article Abstract:

A description of the diffusion theory and dynamic systems theory as paradigms for a science of health-care innovation implementation is presented. These paradigms could help health-care managers to transform their implicit knowledge of complex systems to an explicit knowledge base that could inform strategic planning efforts.

Forecasting violent behaviors for schizophrenic outpatients using their disease insights: Development of a binary logistic regression model and a support model

Article Abstract:

The predictive value of patients and insight ratings for episodes of violent behavior were studied. The support vector machine (SVM) developed can forecast the presence of violent behavior of schizophrenia patients in Taiwan.
