Architectural design can be a reflection of academic pursuits and demonstrate a link between academic activities and aesthetics. The alliance between theology and architecture is demonstrated by the design of the divinity faculty at Cambridge University by Ted Cullinan, reflecting theological studies' commitment to societies, religious communities and academic communities. The new management faculty at Aberdeen University designed by Norman Foster is a reflection of the department's enterprising, innovative and high technology image.
