Obese women with binge eating disorder define the term binge

Article Abstract:

Research was conducted to define the criteria used by obese women with binge eating disorder (BED) in classifying a binge. A sample of 60 women diagnosed with BED during an interview were interviewed again after one to four weeks to determine their personal definition of a binge. Results indicate that a majority of the sample, 82%, defined a binge as loss of control over eating.
