Personality and anorexia nervosa

Article Abstract:

Evidence is presented about personality variables that are closely related to anorexia nervosa (AN) and may represent familial-based risk factors. Studies of the relationship of personality and AN will be greatly enhanced by careful consideration and specification of the conceptual model and associated hypotheses that are tested with empirical data.

Development and psychometric validation of an eating disorder-specific health-related quality of life instrument

Article Abstract:

A report on the development and psychometric validation of the Eating Disorders Quality of Life (EDQOL) instrument, a disease-specific health-related quality of life (HRQOL) questionnaire designed for disordered eating patients is presented. HRQOL instruments have developed due to the lack of sensitivity and responsiveness.

A study of patients with anorexia nervosa using ecologic momentary assessment

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to illustrate the feasibility of studying patients with anorexia nervosa (AN) using ecologic momentary assessment (EMA), while also to investigate a proposed model of anorexic behavior. EMA appears to be a feasible and productive means of assessment in studying AN.
