Personality characteristics and adaptive strategies to cope with negative emotional states and deviant sexual fantasies in sexual aggressors

Article Abstract:

This article examines the relationship between personality and coping strategies among sexual aggressors. Findings indicate that subjects with anxious personality profiles are less likely to use coping strategies to deal with abnormal sexual fantasies and negative moods when compared to aggressors with dramatic personality profiles.

Modus operandi and situational aspects in adolescent sexual offenses against children

Article Abstract:

The relevant factors and the mode of operation adolescents accused of sexual offenses adopt against children below 12 years are examined. Results showed that most offences occurred in familiar surroundings in the absence of anyone present and with a previously familiar victim.

Criminal justice institutional referrals and selections: a comparative portrait of sexual aggressions and aggressors

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to investigate the judicial treatment of sex offenders from police detection to treatment centers. The result from the study revealed that younger criminals tend to be over represented in the treatment sample.
