Psychosocial mediators of antiretroviral nonadherence in HIV-positive adults with substance use and mental health problems

Article Abstract:

A study using data from HIV-positive patients on antiretroviral (ARV) medications found various psychosocial mediators for ARV nonadherence. HIV-positive patients with mental-health or substance use problems in this study tended to report poorer adherence to ARV medications compared with patients without these problems.

The dimensions of change in therapeutic community treatment instrument

Article Abstract:

The refinement and preliminary evaluation of the dimensions of change in Therapeutic Community Treatment Instrument (DCI), a measure of treatment process is described. The results of studies conducted are encouraging and support use of the 54-item DCI as a tool to measure treatment process.
