Predicting change in depression following renal transplantation: effect of patient coping preferences

Article Abstract:

Issues regarding the effect of coping preferences on change in depression following renal transplantation are discussed. Results of 60 patients on the Krantz Health Opinion Survey and the Beck Depression Inventory before and after renal transplantation provided the data.

Assessment of irrational health beliefs: relation to health practices and medical regimen adherence

Article Abstract:

This article presents research on the validity of the Irrational Health Belief Scale. Greater distortion was generally associated with weak internal control beliefs and a less positive pattern of health practices.
