Psychotherapy with the neuropsychologically impaired adult

Article Abstract:

Brain-damaged patients except those severely damaged can be successfully treated with psychotherapy despite a general belief to the contrary. All that it takes is a modification of training methods to suit the peculiar emotional, psychological and mental state of the patient. Treatment is difficult indeed since there will be some neuropsychological limitations. Premorbid character traits are likely to reveal themselves and interrelate with neuropsychological deficits. The therapist can look at the patient's inherent strength and cultivate their sense of hope to counteract deficits.

On deciphering the book of nature: human communication in psychotherapy

Article Abstract:

Applied mathematics is used in formulating a system or population investigation between communications of therapist and patient. Psychoanalysts are aware that communication is the primary tool in understanding the patient and in resolving their difficulties. The systems approach of communication in psychiatric treatment reveals hidden regularities in terms of feedback phenomena which may be missed by mere ordinary observation and reflection.
