Recommendations for training in the use of the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT)

Article Abstract:

Rossini and Moretti were correct when they said that there should be definite guidelines and minimum standards for teaching clinical psychology graduate students how to use the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT). They pointed out in their survey that many clinical psychologists received very little training in the use of TAT. However, they did not say that training should be based on results of scientific research. TAT should be taught using interpretative techniques that are supported by empirical research.

Sexual pathology and dangerousness from a Thematic Apperception Test protocol

Article Abstract:

A Thematic Appreciation Test protocol provided insight on the sexual pathology and deranged mind set of an individual, thereby revealing its utility in determining the mental state of patients to chart their course through hospitalization. The clinical case study of the suspected schizophrenic with perverted sexual attitudes helped in determining extreme restrictive treatment for him.
