Representations and working memory in early arithmetic

Article Abstract:

Working memory is an important factor in the mathematical development of children, but the relations between different components of working memory and different types of arithmetic problems are unclear. The main aim is to explore the relations between working memory and arithmetic and to test hypotheses about changes in mental representation and processing.
