Teenage mothers' anger over twelve years: partner conflict, partner transitions and children's anger

Article Abstract:

The effects of maternal anger, partner transitions and partner conflict on later oppositional and angry behavior of the children of teenage mothers is examined. There was support for the theoretical model that suggested that the personality characteristics of teenaged mothers confer some of their risk to children through children's exposure to the mothers' problematic partner relationship.

Test-retest reliability and criterion validity of the Chinese version of CBCL, TRF and YSR

Article Abstract:

The test-retest reliability and criterion validity is examined with respect to psychometric properties of the Chinese version of Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), Teacher's Report Form (TRF) and Youth Self Report (YSR). The results indicate that the test-retest are reliable and valid and justify the confidant application to Chinese children and youths.

Which family factors predict children's externalizing behaviors following discharge from psychiatric inpatient treatment?

Article Abstract:

The postdischarge clinical course and select family factors were examined to model outcomes by predictors measured at admission, concurrently with outcome, and changes in predictor values from admission through follow-up. It is concluded that high initial parenting stress disposed to better outcomes over the year of follow-up.
