The Chinese version of the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory: its relationship to different measures of psychological well-being

Article Abstract:

A study administered the Chinese version of the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (C-STAI) to 2,150 Chinese secondary school students and compared the results to those of other psychological tests. Results indicated a strong correlation between A-State and A-Trait measures and between both scales and other measures of psychological well-being. The two scales correlated differently with the other findings, but results generally supported the validity of the C-STAI.

Reliability and factor structure of the Chinese GHQ-30 for parents with preschool mentally handicapped children

Article Abstract:

A study of Chinese General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) administered to 381 parents of preschool mentally handicapped children shows that GHQ exhibits high accuracy as a scale and high item-total correlation. The four factors of anxiety, depression, inadequate coping skills and poor interpersonal skills can be abstracted from the test and reproduced reliably in four random subsamples.
