The Marital Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale III: is the relation with marital adjustment linear or curvilinear?

Article Abstract:

An analysis of the response to the Marital Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale III shows a linear relation with marital adjustment of the two measures of adaptability and cohesion. Data from the American, Canadian and European expatriate workers living in Nepal shows a large positive association between cohesion and marital adjustment and a moderate, positive relation between adaptability and marital adjustment. The use of circumplex model for marital research may yield better results.
