The core conflictual relationship theme (CCRT) applied to literary works: An analysis of two novels written by authors suffering from anorexia nervosa

Article Abstract:

Two literary works of writers suffering from anorexia nervosa are analyzed with the method of the core conflictual relationship theme (CCRT). The results reveal that after certain adjustments, the CCRT method might be successfully applied to data obtained from sources other than psychotherapy sessions.

Comparison of face-to-face and Internet interventions for body image and eating problems in adult women: an RCT

Article Abstract:

Eating disorders in adult women were compared with an eight-session group study led by therapist regarding body dissatisfaction. Findings reveal that face-to-face method was effective in adult women to deliver the body image intervention compared to the Internet mode.

What does viewing a pro-anorexia website do? An experimental examination of website exposure and moderating effects

The relation between media exposure and levels of bodily dissatisfaction was explored through an examination of the effects of viewing pro-anorexia websites, which has emerged as the latest form of thin-ideal exposure.
