The disgust scale: Item analysis, factor structure, and suggestions for refinement

Article Abstract:

A study was carried out to assess the psychometric properties and examine the factor structure of the 32-item disgust scale. It was found that patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder having washing concerns score higher than patients with Obsessive compulsive disorder without washing concerns in Core Disgust and Contamination-based Disgust.

Validation of idiosyncratic cognitive schema in cognitive case formulations: An intraindividual idiographic approach

Article Abstract:

A method for the intraindividual clinical validation of a cognitive case formulation (CCF) involving hypotheses about the patientEs idiosyncratic cognitive schema (ICS) is discussed. The approach to validating idiographic assessment is illustrated with the CCF of a woman with comorbid mood and anxiety disorders.

A taxometric study of the latent structure of disgust sensitivity: converging evidence for dimensionality

Article Abstract:

Three taxometric procedures that were used to examine the latent structure of disgust and disgust sensitivity are presented. Results showed that disgust sensitivity was conceptualized as a dimensional construct that was evident in all individuals either to a greater or smaller extent.
