The price of stress

Article Abstract:

A difference was noted with regards to the basis of job allocation between male and female workers. Utilization of an economic approach reveals that the allocation of female workers is based on absolute advantages while the allocation of male workers is based on comparative advantages. In the case of male workers, a job with stress is more likely to be accepted by a worker if such type of job pays more relative to work without stress. The effect of job demands on work-related stress is greater than aspects of job control.
