The psychosocial functioning of children and spouses of adults with ADHD

Article Abstract:

This article examines the impact parental ADHD has on the everyday life of the rest of the family. The authors, examining the psychosocial functioning of spouses and children of ADHD adults, conclude children of ADHD parents have higher rates of psychopathology than other children and family and marital functions were more?impaired in ADHD families.

The validity of analyses testing the etiology of comorbidity between two disorders: a review of family studies

Article Abstract:

This article examines the causes of comorbidity between two psychiatric disorders among family members. The authors, testing three comorbidity models, conclude that family studies using these models may have incorrect conclusions regarding the causes of comorbidity between disorders.

Association of ADHD and conduct disorder - brain electrical evidence for the existence of a distinct subtype

Article Abstract:

Research suggests that attention deficit hyperactivity disorder with comorbidity may change brain electrical correlates but may not affect behavioral performance levels. ADHD comorbidities studied include hyperkinetic conduct disorder and oppositional defiant/conduct disorder.
