The relationship between parental anger and behavior problems in children and adolescents

Article Abstract:

A study considered the relationship among parental dispositions toward anger and the emotional and behavioral problems of children and adolescents. It was expected that a higher parental disposition toward anger would mean higher reporting of more internalizing and externalizing behavior problems in children. Trait anger and anger expression within the family were found to be linked to parental depression and adolescents' internalizing and externalizing behavior problems.
