The relationships of adolescent school-related deviant behavior and victimization with psychological distress: Testing a general model of the mediational role of parents and teachers across groups of gender and age

Article Abstract:

The role of the parents and teachers in mediating adolescent psychological distress is explored in a research involving 973 Spanish students aged 11-16 years old. Results indicate that the adolescent-parent communication to a larger extent and adolescent-teacher relationships to a lesser extent mediate the association of deviant behavior and victimization and there is a direct relationship between victimization and psychological distress.

Linkages among adolescent girls romantic relationships, best friendships and peer networks

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to examine the romantic relationships and best friendships among adolescent girls and accounted of dating involvement as a moderating variable. For this study 446 girls in the age group of 15 to 19 years were given questionnaires for the survey and the results showed that dating is associated with more positive and less negative interactions with best friends.

The role of parental and peer support in adolescentEs well being: a comparison of adolescents with and without a visual impairment

Article Abstract:

An investigation is carried out on the importance of parental and peer support in adolescents with or without visual impairment. The results obtained indicate that there is a direct corelation between well-being of the adolescents and the social support they received.
