The role of stressful life events in the development of depressive symptoms in adolescence-a longitudinal community study

Article Abstract:

A longitudinal study conducted to estimate the predictive value of recent stressful life events on the development of depressive symptoms in adolescents, while controlling for previous level of depressive symptoms is presented. The results revealed that unidirectional model of stressful life events cause depressive symptoms in adolescents while recent life events have no predictive value on depressive symptoms.

Can collaboration between education and health professionals improve the identification and referral of young people with eating disorders in schools? A pilot study

Article Abstract:

A pilot study was conducted to identify whether collaboration between education and health professionals can improve the identification and referral of young people with eating disorders in schools. Although this study found the EDE-Q screening questionnaire a very effective method of identification was put in place to bypass the need for self-report was assessed to be largely unsuccessful.

Health related quality of life of adolescents in Vietnam: Cross-cultural adaptation and validation of the Adolescent Duke Health Profile

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted on the Quality of Life (QOL) of adolescents in Vietnam where the main motive is to adopt the Adolescent Duke Health Profile (ADHP) to identify the reference value and the indicators of low QOL. However, the ADHP indicated internal stability and the construct validity in association with executive use of drugs or otherwise.
