The theory of "truth": How counterindustry media campaigns affect smoking behavior among teens

Article Abstract:

A structural equation modeling method was used for testing the theory-based model of different ways in which the exposure to truth counterindustry media campaign affected the beliefs, attitudes and smoking behavior in teens. Results suggest that the exposure to counterindustry campaigns could be responsible for the negative beliefs about the tobacco industry practices, which in turn results in the development of negative attitudes towards the industry.
