Physician-assisted dying: review of issues and roles for health psychologists

This article examines laws and ethics regarding physician-assisted dying (PAD), focusing on the ethical and practical issues related to end-of-life care. The role of the health psychologist in regards to PAD can be as an educator, practitioner, researcher, and policy advocate.

The yellow brick road and the emerald city: benefit finding, positive reappraisal coping, and posttraumatic growth in women with early-stage breast cancer

Article Abstract:

The interviews from the longitudinal study of women with early-stage breast cancer followed from the medical treatment completion are used to examine predictors and outcomes of benefit finding, positive reappraisal coping and posttraumatic growth. The research findings show that benefit finding, reappraisal coping and posttraumatic growth are related but are distinct in nature.
