Therapeutic effects of providing MMPI-2 test feedback to clients at a university counseling service: a collaborative approach

Article Abstract:

The therapeutic value of providing Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) assessment feedback to clients is analyzed. Sixty college students completed the MMPI-2 and other outcome measures. Thirty participants belonging to the experimental group received MMPI-2 test feedback and 30 participants in the control group received delayed feedback. Results showed that clients in the experimental group reported a considerable increase in self-esteem and decline in symptomatic distress compared with the control group.

Social support and adjustment among Puerto Rican adolescent mothers: The moderating effect of acculturation

Article Abstract:

Associations between partner and grandmother support and the adjustment of Latina adolescent mothers were examined. Acculturation was also examined as a potential mediator of such relations. The results emphasize the need to take cultural context into account and the importance of the role of partner support, or lack of support, on the psychological adjustment of adolescent Latina mothers.
