Toward a synthetic physiological psychology

Article Abstract:

Synthetic physiological psychology seeks to establish a distinct physiological psychology which utilizes physical reduction of animals' and people's nervous systems to abstract laws of pure psychological function. This approach also seeks to integrate the various subfields of psychology into a common unit of function and employs synthesis as a means of validation. The marked interrelatedness between psychology and medicine should cease to exist as a coherent synthetic physiological psychology is developed.

Facts and fallacies about goal theory: reply to Deci

Article Abstract:

The goal theory was defended as a valid concept as part of the motivation theory. It correlates theeffects of goal setting in performance of work tasks and induces creative outputs. The goal theory is compatible with any psychologic theory in terms of variety in outcome measures. These are to dispute Deci's criticism of the goal theory such as regarding its inadequacies in dealing with motivational issues, performance assessment and its relation to human nature.
