Male twins exhibits more ADHD symptoms, and speech and reading problems. Familial clustering of latent class and DSM-IV defined attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) subtypes

Article Abstract:

Logistic regression was used to assess whether genetic influences contribute significantly to the observed patterns of subtype combinations among siblings who both express Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD). It was found that for both DSM-IV and latent class subtypes, the overall patterns indicate familial clustering with different probands.
