Until death do us part: an exploration into confidentiality following the death of a client

Article Abstract:

Psychologists are bound by the codes of their profession to keep the process of interaction with their clients to be confidential. However, the recent publication of therapy records on a celebrated client has raised the question of whether the rule of confidentiality extends beyond the client's death. Psychologists should consider the reprisals and lack of confidence that may occur when the public begins to perceive that confidentiality is not assured.
