Using retrospective health data from the Gombe chimpanzee study to inform future monitoring efforts

Article Abstract:

The establishment of baseline health profiles is essential for the definition and investigation of disease outbreaks and the application of the risk analysis process. The results of a survey of the entire long-term health-related data record from Gombe National Park is presented, while also discussing their usefulness in the context of risk assessment, and describing how the data survey influenced the development of the health-monitoring program in place at Gombe.

Adaptors and Innovators: Data from the Kirton Adaptor- Innovator Inventory in a Local Authority Setting

Article Abstract:

This study supports Kirton's prediction that the mean of the personnel approaches the aims of the organization. The organization may become innovative or adaptive depending on whether adaptors or innovators leave or stay. Their decision to leave or stay will depend on whether or not the organization suits their personality. Persons will find a secure niche, change to fit the organization, or leave.

Attitudes towards prostitution among males: a 'consumers' report.'(Special Issue: Studies in Love, Romance, Sexual Interaction)(Statistical Data Included)

Article Abstract:

140 men arrested as customers of prostitution were surveyed about their attitudes about prostitution. The results showed that older customers supported the legalization of prostitution and were less likely to believe myths about prostitution than younger men. Surprisingly, one-third of the men reported that sex with a prostitute was not a satisfying experience.
