Using the Violence Risk Appraisal Guide (VRAG) to predict in-prison aggressive behavior in a Swiss offender population

Article Abstract:

The article evaluates the usage of the Violence Risk Appraisal Guide (VRAG) for imprisoned offenders relevant to aggressive behavior in a German-speaking country. Results showed that the previously revealed results almost corresponded to the findings and was relevant only among individuals with a sex crime as an offense.

Drug consumption among sexual offenders against females

Article Abstract:

The study examined the incidence of recidivism and drug or alcohol addiction among sexual offenders who victimized girls, females at puberty and women. Results showed that the vices mentioned played a significant role in sexual aggression and impulsivity but differences existed relevant to age and groups victimized.

Risk assessment in offenders with intellectual disability: a comparison across three levels of security

Article Abstract:

The study was undertaken to assess the risk involved among lawbreakers with innate intellectual disabilities relevant to crimes committed across three security levels. Results showed that intellectual disability played its role in committing offences besides presenting other findings.
