Advertising 1995: is this progress?

Article Abstract:

The advertising industry is working with better technology and more resources than ever before, yet in 1995 the quality of production mimicked that of 1947. This is a result of clients who not only settle for mediocre ads, but also are unaware of the difference between good and bad advertising. Advertisements such as Mr. Jenkins, created by Donny Deutsche for Tanqueray Gin, are on the cutting edge of the industry because they take risks and make room for the next generation of consumers.
