Barbie, not Bauhaus

Article Abstract:

James Sommerville and Simon Needham began doing chalk drawings in their grandmother's attic in 1987 and evolved into a $13 million computer graphics firm named The Attic in 1998. Their work consists of hip, edgy pieces with attitude, using saturated, lush color, scrawls, and bits of information. Backgrounds are gritty textures, and letters point at a focus.
