Catherine Zask: "First the word"

Typographer and graphic designer, Catherine Zask who likes to explore the leftovers, latent space and search for the unfinished gestures, is attracted by the simple lure of the ink. Even though Zask breaks the lines, splits up the letters and utilizes the word in many ways, her signature style lies in the word Alfabetempo.

Renzo Piano: the poetics of lightness

Issues are presented concerning the architectural designs of Renzo Piano who rose to prominence as a result of his design for the Beaubourg, Paris, France. The use of open-plan designs and metallic structures in his buildings are discussed.
