Article Abstract:
Photographer Walter Iooss, Jr., worked with Sports Illustrated capturing athletes with artistic backgrounds and then with Fuji Film to photograph individual Olympic athletes. He helped develop the telephoto lens. He followed Michael Jordan for a book project, Rare Air, and did several other book projects of well known atheletes. He published A Lifetime of Shooting Sports and Beauty, a 30-year retrospective, beginning with raw black-and-white shots and progressing to posed, colorful action portraits.

Paolo Roversi: the bright side of planet fashion

French-based fashion photographer Paolo Roversi goes against the industry trend of portraying decay and ugliness in fashion photographs by creating romantic and beautiful images. Roversi eschews the dark side in favor of light and dreamlike images. Leaving the interpretation of his images to others, Roversi builds the fashion image and shapes it to its conclusion.
