It all starts with the music

Article Abstract:

The graphic designs of boxed sets of musical recordings can play a major role in whether or not these special editions will become collectors items. Several factors in designing the packaging, together with the graphics artwork, need to be taken into consideration including the genre of the music, the target audience, and use of previously unreleased graphic images. Incorporation of these elements among others can greatly increase the chances for a collectible boxed set of musical recordings.

Silk Pearce: napkin note ideas

Article Abstract:

Graphic arts firm Silk Pearce offers old-fashioned quality from East Anglia, one of the regions of the UK that has long been associated with printing. Although eschewing digital gimmicks and ornate typography, some of the company's designs, such as those for Arjo Wiggins Fine Papers, use tromp l'oeil effects. A campaign for the Department of Trade and Industry to promote UK firms to trade in North America is a toned-down affair.
