Describing Grey literature again: A survey of collection policies

Article Abstract:

Libraries face new challenges in an era of digital grey literature. Grey literature consists of publications produced by the government, special agencies, businesses or other groups. Libraries need to adopt new ways to evaluate the quality and relevance of digital grey literature by utilizing the expertise of both librarians and the user community.

The library of Alexandria, which boasts of copies of every known manuscript in the ancient world, is explored. However, the directors of the library have joined efforts in order to revive every book in a new arena that is online.
