Saab story: Jean-Philippe Delhomme

Article Abstract:

Saab USA collaborated with advertising agency Angotti, Thomas, Hedge Inc. and French artist Jean-Philippe Delhomme to create animated commercials for its 1996 line of automobiles. After doing a customer study which indicated the majority of Saab owners have post-doctorate educations and feel unique, the company decided to launch a campaign that emphasized individuality and expression. Sales increased 30% and sales leads went up 33% after the first four weeks of the television commercials.

Imaginary Forces: taking all the credits

Producers, directors, and designers Kyle Cooper, Chip Houghton, and Peter Frankfurt operate Imaginary Forces, formerly Robert Greenberg Associates, a movie production company in Los Angeles. Kyle Cooper has won several awards for films 'Seven" and "The Island of Dr. Moreau" which employ breakthrough graphic design. Imaginary Forces also produces commercials. Cooper seeks to redesign himself continually, returning to modern typography after using so-called trash art.
