Taku Satoh: "the invisible designer"

Article Abstract:

Taku Satoh, a Japanese designer, believes that the productEs meaningfulness increases by reducing the design to their bare essentials. He says "invisible design," in which the design and the designer are not overly evident, lets the consumer place the object in his own lifestyle rather than being ruled by some image forced upon him by the manufacturer and its ads.

Kiyoshi Awazu: "Inner psyche"

Article Abstract:

Kiyoshi Awazu is a member of a generation of designers who intentionally merged art and design, and in 1969 he had designed the stage and masks for a German performance of 'Inugami', a play by Shuji Terayama. Later, in 1973 he illustrated an exhibition poster and catalog with a complex and compelling image, which had a theme of modern sculpture.
