A private underwater Baroque

Article Abstract:

Israeli furniture designer Ayala Sperling Serfaty incorporated undersea flora and fauna designs into her far-out Aqua collection. The collection, whose origin dates back only to 1992, contains coral-shaped chairs, love seats that have stuffed fruit shapes in their interior, a walking starfish table, and a sea urchin coffee table. Serfaty, who still designs and constructs each piece individually with her assistants, is gearing up to exhibit at the Milan Furniture Fair.
