Turkish press tackles terrorism coverage

Article Abstract:

Istanbul was shattered by two suicide bombings in heavily populated neighborhoods which were mainly targeted at synagogues, however, the victims happened to be Jewish at worship and their Muslim neighbors. In the days following, police and security officials refused to establish official spokesperson and regular press briefings, forcing Turkish media to heavily rely on anonymous sources and report speculation regarding the attacks.
