Unstable marital unions: The relationship problems of democracy and free press

Article Abstract:

Democracy and a free press go together like love and marriage and the connection has become a media mantra, something to be continually recited as both faith and aspiration. Every big election reveal much of the same essential story which are falling voter turn-out, declining commitment, increasing disillusion-especially amongst first or second time voters with the system, therefore more efforts are required to catch the attention of the youngsters.

Perils of covering elections

Article Abstract:

Elections are political crisis zones as candidates fight the media as much as they fight each other. Some of the challenges faced by the reporters during election periods are discussed and it is believed that media control during elections occurs even in democracies with traditions, although it is far subtler.
