A fright at the movies

Article Abstract:

The UK leisure industry fears that John Prescott the minister responsible for the environment will stop out-of-town leisure developments. Some observers suggest that the planning authorities would prefer urban areas to undergo regeneration which would include the construction of leisure facilities. Others suggest that the industry should have lobbied the government sooner particularly as it was not consulted by the Select Committee prior to its report. Warner Village points out that there is a scarcity of suitable sites for leisure development in many towns and cities.
