Quay to the city

Article Abstract:

The growing popularity of Salford Quays in Manchester as a viable commercial district is having a positive affect on the local community and encouraging new development in the area. Salford Quays was originally regarded as a second-rate business district because of inadequate infrastructure, although the construction of a new metro line has resulted in increased occupancy levels and higher rents. Increased police levels are being introduced to combat rising crime rates in the area.

Aiming for a better result

Article Abstract:

The refurbished city centre market of Manchester, England is flourishing at the beginning of 2000, as many property developers prefer regeneration to new developments. The city centre is running short on new office accommodation and refurbished offices are ideal for the type of firms moving into the area, such as call centre operations. The city centre also suffers from an over supply of small offices which are impractical for use by larger firms.
