A rough diamond

Article Abstract:

There is only limited demand and supply in the north Manchester office sector, but there are relatively strong local markets in towns such as Oldham, Bolton, Rochdale and Middleton. Bolton is the strongest market, having seen almost all the development which has taken place in the northern Manchester region over recent years. Success is very closely linked with location, with office buildings close to the national motorway network being most popular.

Three's a crowd

Article Abstract:

The property sector in the centre of Manchester remains strong, but could come under threat from three large out-of-town shopping centre schemes. The largest of these is the Trafford Centre at Dumplington, planned by Manchester Ship Canal Co, and has attracted considerable opposition because of potential traffic problems. The other two schemes are definitely going ahead, and will together occupy 250,000 sq ft at Handforth.
