Room to develop

Article Abstract:

US photographic film manufacturer Polaroid has surprised some by taking up offices in Glasgow, Scotland. It chose Glasgow above all other cities in Europe after identifying its requirements for an international business centre. Glasgow's extensive variety of office accommodation together with its workforce and business grants made it preferable to any other location. The offices are located on Bath Street and occupy 2,323 square meters over four floors.

Law unto itself

Article Abstract:

Law firm Dickinson Dees have moved into office accommodation totalling 55,000 sq ft at St Ann's Wharf on the 170 million pounds sterling Quayside development in Newcastle, England. The firm took 18 months to find appropriate office space, and found that there was almost no accommodation in the centre of Newcastle offering the amount of space it required. The new premises give the firm a prestigious image and offer potential for further expansion.
